There was a decent amount of interest in the Data Services Framework that Miah Adams (University of Colorado) and I presented last week at Alliance ’11. I am in the final stages of packaging the code, writing installation instructions, and setting up some support resources that people can use to ask questions or report bugs.

My goal is to make the code available via Oracle’s OTN “Sample Code” site within the next 7-10 days.

I will be co-presenting with the University of Colorado’s Miah Adams this afternoon at 3:15 pm, talking about the Data Services framework we designed and developed last year. The goal was to avoid reinventing the wheel when various integration partners asked for data from CU’s new PeopleSoft Campus Solutions system.

Here’s the slide deck from our presentation: Alliance2011 – Reusable Data Services Framework Presentation

One of or goals is to release this code package to the Higher Education community as a “community source” project. If you’re interested, check back here for status updates on this effort.

Please feel free to comment, as well!
